It took me longer then expected but I'm finally posting a review of my pups very first bark box Overall both my pup and myself have been very pleased with our barkbox monthly subscription.  The toys and treats are both excellent quality and unique. We even joined the extra toy club which means instead of getting 2 toys in the box we get 3 toys in each monthly box along with 2 treats and a chew.

Each month has a fun theme, July's theme was A Lick In Wonderland. When you open the box you will see the themed paper and after unwrapping it you will get to all of the fun things inside. Each box includes a card that talks about the theme and usually has a link to shop the full collection on their site as well as a hashtag to share pictures on social media. The hashtag in this box was #WagHatter.

In each box you receive 2 full size treats. In July's box the two treats were a 4oz bag of chicken nibbles and a 5oz bag of we all wag here treats. My pup enjoyed both and I was glad to see that both treats were made in the USA.

In each monthly barkbox you will receive 2 toys (or 3 if you join the extra toy club). The toys are excellent quality, adorable and most importantly my pup loves them.

Each month includes one chew. The chew in July's box was a crunchy 7" rabbit recipe chew. My pup enjoyed this as well.

Each month there's a card that goes along with the theme and it usually has something fun on it. This card had a removable center so you take a photo of your pet in Wonderland. Each card all has the website address so you can shop the entire collection online.

Overall I think this is an awesome subscription box with quality items that we will continue to look forward to each month. When you subscribe you can pick from three different pet sizes, Small & Cute (0-20lbs), Just Right (20-50lbs) or Big & Bold (50+lbs). They also have a super chewer box available. Our first box was Just Right I believe and the second (I'll be reviewing that one soon) was Big & Bold and our third will be Small & Cute. I wanted to try out all three sizes and see which one would be the best fit for my pup since he is small but loves bigger toys.

The cost of the barkbox subscriptions range from $21 a month up to $29 a month depending on which plan you decide on. If you decide to join the extra toy club it's an additional $9 per month. Shipping inside the 48 contiguous is free but for other states it's $5. One of the things I really like about their plan options is that regardless of which plan you pick you still get billed monthly. I love this because I was able to do the 12 month subscription to get the best price but I didn't have to pay the full amount up front. If you would like to get your first month free you can use this link to Barkbox  and your first box is free if you sign up for a 6 month or 12 month subscription. Out of the subscription boxes I have received this one is definitely a favorite.

So it's been a few weeks . . .

Hey There, I didn't forget about my attempt at a blog but life has managed to get even crazier over this past month. I have a few boxes I can't wait to post about, two from bark box and one from love with food. The first box from bark box is the "a lick in wonderland" themed one and the second is the "bark university" themed one. They are both adorable and I can't wait to share pictures from them. I'm really excited about the love with food box as well. Well that's it for now. Hopefully I will be able to get all of the pictures uploaded and posted sometime next week. Have a great weekend!

So it's been a few years . . .

While I never really did get this blog up and going I've decided to give it another go. After the holidays life got a little more crazy then usual and I just never made it back to posting. Eventually I ended up forgetting about my attempt at blog until recently when I was looking for a new subscription box to try. This time around I'm hoping to post something new at least once a week, even if it's just something small. One thing I'm planning to post are reviews of a few different subscription boxes. 

Everytime I've looked into the different boxes something that has always helped me decide was seeing the different reviews and what each boxed contained so hopefully my reviews can help someone else out. The first one I plan to do is BarkBox. My first box should be here sometime next week so as soon as I receive it I will put up a new blog post with lots of pictures and details.

I'll also eventually post some reviews of a couple different kids boxes. Our family has had a subscription to Kid Stir and several from Little Passports. The boxes from Little Passports have been a huge hit in our house. We did all the subscriptions from Little Passports. They have four different subscription options, Science Expeditions, World Edition, USA Edition and Early Explorers. I'd have to say my kids favorite from the four would either have to be the World Edition or the USA Edition. I will definitely be posting more about those later. 

One of my absolute favorite boxes has been the Pusheen Box. Even my kids look forward to that one. It always has a nice variety of items, however it is one of the pricier subscription boxes at about $50 a box after shipping costs. The next one should be shipping out mid October so I will be sure to post a review then.

I definitely plan to try out some more subscription boxes so when I do I will be sure to make a blog post with all of the fun contents and details for each subscription. If there's a monthly box that you love, think is a must try or one that you have been on the fence about trying let me know in the comments and I may just add it to my list of ones to subscribe to.
